Our Mission

The mission of the Highlander Education Foundation is to provide supplemental financial assistance to both at-risk and novel programs in the West Milford Public School system by hosting fundraising events and soliciting sponsorships from the community.

Additionally, the Highlander Education Foundation aims to advocate at the local, county, and state levels for the best interests of West Milford Public School students through its action committee work.


The Highlander Education Foundation was formed as a 501(c) 3 charitable organization in 2023 by a group of accomplished women from various backgrounds. They identified a need in their community to bring about positive changes to the West Milford public school system through collaborating with stakeholders, raising funds, and advocating on behalf of our students for better representation where decisions are made for them at the local, county, and state levels.
